“Get Ready for College: (GR4C) Bootcamp” program is a new initiative that will be launched fall, 2016. The goal of this program is to prepare high school juniors and seniors for college by providing students with the skills needed to not only be successful on a college level but also to ensure that students know and understand all of their options when applying to school.
The program will be held monthly at the Ascension Parish Library in Geismar, Louisiana and is open to high school juniors and seniors living or going to school in Ascension, Iberville, and East Baton Rouge parishes. The program will provide students with the opportunity to build skills they will need to apply for college, scholarships, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA),as well as determine which college majors/minors to actively pursue.
