In 2016, Leona’s Kings and Queens hosted a Christmas Toy Drive and a festive event titled “A Night to Remember” to support families impacted by the August 2016 flooding. Recognizing that these families might face financial challenges during the holiday season, the event offered them an opportunity to enjoy a memorable Christmas celebration.
Held on Christmas Day, December 25, 2016, at the Geismar Community Center in Geismar, Louisiana, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM, the event featured a variety of activities. Families received gifts from Santa, participated in games, enjoyed arts and crafts, and shared a traditional Christmas dinner.
